Moore College of Art & Design helps students further develop their skills as artists in various ways and across multiple mediums.
Janie Gross: FurtherMoore exemplifies her journey of constantly reaching further to build upon her formal training and original work as a graphic designer. The play on words references the potential to develop further artistic skills, which began as the foundation of a visual arts education experience at Moore.
With works ranging from her internationally acclaimed book to photographic artworks, ceramics, and image-making related to her live Instagram portfolio of habitual artistic wanderings, her goal is to enlighten the next generation of students about the links between design and fine arts, the joys of exploration and their unique potential to influence others through visual communication positively. In the true spirit of Moore’s philosophy of persistence, Janie’s selected works help us realize the power of an open mind guided by core design principles.
